Major update on food service at new Fylde coast sports bar 1860 in Kirkham

The exciting announcement was made on Friday.

A popular Fylde coffee shop, bistro and bar will reopen for food soon just weeks after closing its kitchen due to staffing issues.

1860 Bistro in Kirkham initially opened its doors on September 2 following months of renovations to the Grade II listed, former Girl’s Charity School. Just three weeks after opening, 1860 was forced to temporarily close its kitchen due to staffing issues.

Now, four weeks later, the popular venue is ready to reopen its kitchen. A teaser post on Facebook announced the news, with 1860’s owners promising ‘exciting food offerings’ and ‘delicious surprises.’

“After closing our kitchen and keeping you all waiting, we’ve got a little secret to spill,” an 1860 spokesperson said. “Following a vigorous search, countless conversations and some very careful selections, we can finally reveal that 1860 has found its kitchen team.

“That’s right, Kirkham…some of the finest chefs are getting ready to make their mark, and we’ve got a feeling you’re going to want a seat at this table.

“Think a brand-new menu, exciting food offerings and some delicious surprises coming over the next few weeks.”
