Fylde Coast Homes buys Stephen Tew Estate Agents in major expansion move

“We are building a property group with strong local businesses at its heart, and Stephen Tew is a fantastic addition to that vision."

Fylde Coast Homes Group has announced its acquisition of Stephen Tew Estate Agents, marking another significant step in the Group’s continued expansion across the Fylde Coast.

The move will see Stephen Tew Estate Agents become part of the Fylde Coast Homes Group whilst retaining its name and brand.

Fylde Coast Homes Group, led by directors Ged Mills and Steve Richardson, has seen a rapid expansion in recent years. Mills and Richardson have both celebrated the acquisition, describing the move as ‘fantastic’.

"This acquisition is not about changing what already works. The Stephen Tew brand will remain, Stephen will continue to play a leading role within the business as Head of Sales and Operations, and customers will continue to deal with the team they already know and trust.” Mills and Richard said in a joint statement.

"What becoming part of Fylde Coast Homes Group does provide is additional investment, resources and support to help the business continue to grow and develop over the years ahead. We are building a property group with strong local businesses at its heart, and Stephen Tew is a fantastic addition to that vision."

In 2024, Mr Tew, then 49, was struck off as a director of his own company for 11 years following an Insolvency Service investigation. At the time, Mr Tew said his actions were a ‘simple clerical error’ and that he did not do anything deliberately wrong.

Since then, Stephen Tew Estate Agents has continued to operate under a new company director, and Mr Tew has continued to work as an estate agent. "I am delighted that Stephen Tew Estate Agents is becoming part of the Fylde Coast Homes Group,” Mr Tew added.

"It was extremely important to me that the brand, our team and the way we look after our customers remained at the heart of the business, and that is exactly what this partnership allows us to do.

"I will remain fully involved in the business, leading sales and operations, and our customers can expect the same personal service and local expertise they have always received, now with the additional backing and resources of the wider Fylde Coast Homes Group."
