Major update on next year's edition of much-loved St Annes International Kite Festival

The festival attracts thousands of visitors.

The spectacular St Annes International Kite Festival will return in 2027, with organisers confirming the event will remain free to attend.

The popular seaside festival will take place on Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September 2027, bringing colour and movement back to the skies above St Annes.

Organised thanks to Fylde Council, SmileFactor10 and some of the world’s most talented kite flyers, the festival is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors to the seaside town.

Visitors can look forward to six flying arenas, beachside funfair rides, refreshments and entertainment across the three-day event.

Friday’s programme will run from noon until 10pm, including a spectacular illuminated night fly, weather permitting. Saturday’s activities will take place from 11am to 5pm, while Sunday’s programme will run from 11am to 4pm.

Organisers are encouraging visitors to save the dates for the return of the free festival in 2027.
