Important Blackpool Transport update on tram network reopening

Blackpool Transport has issued a major update on the Fylde coast’s tram network amid widespread weather disruptions.

Blackpool Transport has confirmed that all tram services are now back in operation after engineers checked over the lines and confirmed that all infrastructure was safe.

The tramway had been closed for most of the weekend after Storm Boelo caused significant damage to the tracks and overhead wires.

Blackpool Transport said there may be delays for the first couple of hours whilst trams return to timetable, and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
