Power cuts reported across four areas

The largest outage is in Kirkland, Wyre, where 90 properties are without power. Electricity North West said the incident was caused by an unexpected problem with the high-voltage cable supplying electricity to homes and businesses. The company is preparing to send a team to the area, with power restoration estimated for 6pm on Tuesday, October 27.

In Newton-With-Clifton, Fylde, 33 properties are affected by an unexpected incident involving an overhead cable. Electricity North West said its team was on site, with power expected to be restored by 6pm on Tuesday, October 27.

Electricity North West has confirmed that its teams are responding to the reported incidents, although the status of each outage varies. The company said it would work to restore power safely and as quickly as possible.

The outages come as Storm Boelo brings strong winds and rain to the area, with the reported power cuts adding to the disruption affecting parts of the Fylde Coast and surrounding communities.
