Blackpool set for another blast of strong winds as Met Office issues fresh weather warning
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for wind, with strong gusts expected to hit Blackpool between 6pm tonight and 3am on Tuesday morning.
As Blackpool continues to suffer the aftermath of Storm Boelo at the weekend, the Met Office has now issued another warning of wind.
The yellow alert for wind was issued on Monday morning (October 26), with the warning coming into force between 6pm tonight and 3am on Tuesday (October 27) morning.

While Blackpool is not directly covered by the alert, the veryweather.co.uk ‘UK weather map’ is showing the Fylde Coast will still be impacted by strong winds, gusting to 46mph in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A total of 144 properties across the Fylde Coast and Wyre were without electricity following power cuts in the aftermath of the weekend storms.
The cause of the power cuts has been linked to unexpected incidents affecting overhead and high-voltage cables amid Storm Boelo.

Looking further ahead, it’s wet start to the week with rain persisting through much of today, becoming light and patchy later.
This evening will be mostly dry before a band of heavy rain sweeps through quickly overnight with very strong winds, turning to gales at the coast. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Tomorrow, once lingering rain clears, it will be a bright and breezy day with isolated showers and plenty of sunny spells. Feeling fresh in the strong breeze, easing through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
