'Thank you' - Wrea Green’s Orchard Rock Training celebrates 20 years supporting care teams across the UK
“Thank you to every care home, nurse and team who has trained with us."
A Wrea Green training company is celebrating 20 years in business, delivering thousands of training sessions annually to care teams and workplaces across the UK.
Orchard Rock Training, based at Brook Mill Industrial Estate on Station Road, was established in January 2006. Its trainers now deliver around 2,000 training sessions each year, travelling to locations as far apart as Plymouth and Inverness.
Rather than requiring staff to travel to a training centre, the company takes its training directly to them. Sessions are delivered in care homes, home care services, schools and workplaces, with groups of up to 15 people. For hands-on courses, numbers are limited to 12 to ensure everyone has time to practise using the equipment.
Many theory-based courses can also be delivered live online. Orchard Rock Training offers more than 200 courses, with moving and handling, fire marshal training and emergency first aid at work among its most frequently booked sessions.

Its clinical training courses, including catheterisation, venepuncture and syringe driver training, are delivered by registered nurses. The company has also received more than 1,700 Google reviews, achieving an average rating of 4.9 out of five.
This year, Orchard Rock has published free printable resources for care teams on its website. These include a Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards poster and a handover template. The company has also outlined training options for offices, warehouses, schools and nurseries.
Closer to home, the business is supporting local sport as shirt sponsor of Bacee Preston Cricket Club for the 2026 season. The club, which includes Orchard Rock's training and quality assurance manager among its players, won Division 7 unbeaten this season.
Gemma Sewell, Business Development Manager at Orchard Rock Training, said: "Twenty years on, we still believe the best place to train people is where they work, using the equipment and situations they really face. Our trainers are on the road every day, all over the country, and it is all organised from here in Wrea Green.
“Thank you to every care home, nurse and team who has trained with us."
