Fylde woman faces attempted murder charge


Married Kerry Fenton is charged with attempting to suffocate an six-year-old boy in July last year.
And while on police bail for that alleged offence, she is alleged to have tried to strangle the same victim on February 22 this year.

Hide AdFenton has a master’s degree and for the last eight years has headed the post graduate study unit at Lancaster University Management School.
Before that she worked at the University of Central Lancashire.
The 43-year-old, from St Michael’s Road, Kirkham, was dressed all in black when she made a two minute appearance before magistrates in Blackpool.
The court remanded her in custody and she will next appear before Preston Crown Court on March 18 when her lawyer Brett Chappell said a bail application would be made.

Hide AdThe first charge relates to an alleged incident in Kirkham and the second an incident in the village of Warton.
Fenton is currently on permitted leave from the university.
The alleged victim cannot be named for legal reasons.
