Blackpool: Indie by the Sea reveals new headliners including The Boo Radleys, Sleeper and Jesus Jones
The latest additions bring together artists who helped shape British guitar music from the late 1980s through the 1990s and beyond.
The Boo Radleys, Jesus Jones, Sleeper and A Certain Ratio are among the latest acts announced for Blackpool: Indie By The Sea.
The festival returns to the seaside resort over the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2027, with the bands set to join a host of indie favourites at the Winter Gardens on Saturday, May 1, and Sunday, May 2, with Nigel Clark, the voice behind Dodgy, also added to the bill.
The latest additions bring together artists who helped shape British guitar music from the late 1980s through the 1990s and beyond.

The Boo Radleys will bring their shoegazing and Britpop sound to the festival, while Jesus Jones will perform as the alternative rock band behind the international hit Right Here, Right Now. Sleeper, known for their Britpop melodies that soundtracked the 1990s, will also appear, alongside Manchester band A Certain Ratio, recognised for their deep funk and post-punk sound.
They join an already packed line-up featuring Ocean Colour Scene, Peter Hook & The Light, Embrace, Black Grape, Paul Draper, The Wedding Present, Space, Northside, The Primitives and Cud.
The festival will also feature solo performances from Ben Ottewell of Gomez, James Walsh of Starsailor, Ian Prowse of Pele and Amsterdam, and Chris Helme of The Seahorses, with each artist performing songs from their own catalogues.

Across the two days, the Winter Gardens will host bands and solo artists covering Madchester, baggy, Britpop and the wave of guitar music that followed.
After-show parties will keep the music going once the main stages close, with Bez of Happy Mondays and Black Grape hosting on Sunday, while broadcaster and journalist John Robb will host the Saturday after-show party.
Further acts are still to be announced.
