Peppa Pig's Big Family Show at Blackpool Grand Theatre helped my family make memories I will cherish forever

Since Blackpool threw its hat in the ring to become City of Culture 2029 - I haven’t stopped noticing culture is everywhere you look.

Last week I visited the magnificent Blackpool Grand Theatre with my three little ones ages four, five and six.

The children are no strangers to the theatre after falling in love with the panto from being just two-years-old.

But on Tuesday, they were bursting with excitement to see Peppa Pig’s Big Family Show.

As we took our seats it was wonderful to see so many children excited to enjoy what could have possibly been their first live theatre performance.

The atmosphere was electric and full of fun.

The live show had the whole audience in awe. It was interactive, inclusive and another great example why Blackpool deserves to be the City of Culture 2029.

All three of my children were mesmerised, laughing out loud and dancing in the aisle.

The story was all about the birth of Peppa and George’s new baby sister Evie and how the family were getting ready for her arrival.

When I asked them what their favourite part of the show was, they unanimously agreed it was dancing in the bubbles at the end while waving to Peppa, George, Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig.

Having such wonderful venues like Blackpool Grand Theatre on our doorsteps should not be something we take for granted.

Throughout the year they host a wide variety of performances to suit all ages and tastes.

It was amazing to be able to enjoy this special experience with my children.

The joy on their faces was priceless and is a memory I will cherish forever.

I for one can’t wait to get booked in to visit again.
