Blackpool postponements confirmed for Notts County and Leicester City fixtures
Blackpool will have a two-week break from League One action during the upcoming international break.
Blackpool have been handed two League One fixture postponements over the next month.
The Seasiders have started the new campaign with seven points in their opening five games.
Over the next fortnight, they face Bromley and Plymouth Argyle at Bloomfield Road, but on the back of that they will have a two-week from league action.
This is due to international call-ups, with the Fylde Coast outfit set to have more than three players representing their national sides.
This will likely include Ilmari Niskanen for Finland, while Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Luke Southwood and Dion Charles will all be under consideration for Northern Ireland.
Dale Taylor has also represented the Green and White Army previously, and could also be called upon if he’s back from injury in time.
Meanwhile, Karoy Anderson represented Jamaica back in April, and could also be among those who’d be unavailable.
New dates will need to be found for Blackpool’s two League One outings during the international period.
Ian Evatt’s side were due to face Notts County at Meadow Lane on September 26, before welcoming Leicester City to Bloomfield Road on October 3, but both will now take place later in the campaign.
No announcement has been made on the Seasiders’ meeting with Wigan Athletic at the Brick Community Stadium in the EFL Trophy on September 22.
The group tie comes at the beginning of the international break, and could also find itself impacted due to players linking up with their respective nations at the start of that week.
