'We're aiming for'- Salt confirms opening date for former Cube venue in Poulton
"We're putting a lot of ourselves into this new venue, and we're excited to share it with Poulton."
The owners of Salt, which is set to take over Poulton’s former Cube venue, have shared an exciting update on a potential opening date as works to the site continue to progress.
Earlier this week, the Gazette exclusively revealed that the award winning team behind Salt of the Earth would be launching their new venture in the downstairs section of the former Cube venue.
‘Salt’ will soon become Poulton’s newest café, bar and social venue, offering a relaxed atmosphere during the day before transitioning into a trendy venue at night.

Now, just days after unveiling Salt to the Fylde coast, owner Dani Mellor has revealed when the exciting new Poulton venue could open.
“We are aiming for the end of November,” Dani told the Gazette. “It will be a phased opening, from 4pm Wednesday-Sunday to start over December with it being Christmas party season. From January, we will be introducing a brunch and lunch service with more events planned.”
On Monday, Dani submitted a licensing application to Wyre Borough Council, seeking permission for Salt to sell alcohol until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, and until 1am from Sunday to Thursday.

Recorded and live music would run to the same hours, and the venue's opening hours would be from 9am until 1.30am on weeknights, and between 9am and 2.30am on weekends.
When it opens, Salt will take inspiration from the French tradition of apéro, focusing on good food, drinks and company. Dani plans for Salt to host live music, independent film screenings, poetry evenings, quizzes, unique tastings and a range of other events.
Thea Stevens, Head Chef at Salt, says she wants to embody Poulton’s cultural scene by giving talent a place to ‘flourish’. She added: "We're putting a lot of ourselves into this new venue, and we're excited to share it with Poulton."

"We don't believe people have stopped wanting to go out. We think they're looking for something different, something that gives them a little more from the experience.
"There's a real creative renaissance happening across the Fylde Coast, particularly in Blackpool and Cleveleys, where the art and music scenes are thriving. That talent exists here in Poulton too, and we'd love to help give it a place to flourish."
