A prolific thief who stole a trailer from Mill Farm in Wesham before advertising it for sale has been jailed for 20 weeks.

Augustus Coverdale, who has previously been jailed for theft offences across the country, stole an Ifor Williams trailer from Mill Farm on March 3, 2026. He forced entry to the compound gates before hooking the trailer up to the van and driving away. ANPR data showed the van had travelled across the country using multiple sets of cloned registration plates.
