Charlie Cairoli statue to be moved to promiment Blackpool town centre spot
“Charlie's legacy deserves to be remembered for generations to come, and we are delighted to celebrate this new chapter in his remarkable story."
The remarkable legacy of one of Britain's greatest-ever clowns will be celebrated at a statue unveiling in Blackpool next week.
On Monday, a Charlie Cairoli statue will be officially unveiled at 12 noon in the Tourist Information Centre on Bank Hey Street, Blackpool.
The statue was originally displayed at Stanley Park in Blackpool but for the past few years it has been on Level 5 of Blackpool Tower.
It will now be permanently relocated to a far more prominent and publicly accessible home within the Tourist Information Centre, ensuring visitors from around the world can enjoy and celebrate Charlie's remarkable contribution to Blackpool's entertainment heritage.

Charlie Cairoli remains one of the most iconic names in British circus history.
For an incredible 39 years he starred in the world-famous Blackpool Tower Circus, delighting generations of families with his unique style of comedy, warmth and timeless performances.
Nigel Male, Founder of the Charlie Cairoli Appreciation Society, said: "Charlie Cairoli brought laughter and happiness to millions of people throughout his extraordinary career. It is only fitting that his statue now occupies a prominent position in the heart of Blackpool, where everyone can enjoy it free of charge. Charlie's legacy deserves to be remembered for generations to come, and we are delighted to celebrate this new chapter in his remarkable story."
The unveiling ceremony will be attended by members of the Cairoli family, invited guests, members of the Charlie Cairoli Appreciation Society, circus performers, friends and supporters, together with members of the public, who are warmly invited to witness this historic occasion.
The unveiling marks another significant milestone in preserving Charlie Cairoli's remarkable legacy, following the publication of his official biography, the installation of the Blue Plaque at Blackpool Tower, and now the relocation of his statue to a prominent public setting where it can be enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
