Iconic Blackpool ice cream parlour Notarianni’s has responded to a customer's harsh 1-star review which moaned about portion sizes being too large.

Notarriani’s has operated in Blackpool for the last 98 years after first opening on the Central Promenade in 1928.

The review was left by ‘Nadia’ and complained about staff ‘overfilling’ an ice cream cone.

Reacting to the 1-star review, Notarianni’s owner Lucca Vettese said: “Small businesses may get things wrong at times and we all work so hard and try our best and will always hold our hands up on the rare occasion we do get things wrong.

“What winds me up is how people just complain and moan about anything! Even if there’s too much ice cream on their cone we literally cannot win.

“Running any business is hard…If you’ve had any good experiences we would really appreciate any nice google reviews they mean a lot to small family businesses”

Notarriani’s has over 2200 Google reviews and a rating of 4.8 stars.
