When work slowed up in the summer months, commercial cleaner Sam Webster tuned into his sense of community and started cleaning grubby road signs dotted around the Fylde Coast.
We’ve all seen them, grimy and green and the ones on social media pointed out for the satisfying feeling of seeing the grime melting away in front of our eyes.

So when Sam, armed with his cleaning tools, posted his work on social media, it went viral.
People loved what he was doing and is now on a mission to make the area’s signage sparkle again.
He’s been out and about with his brush and industrial de-greaser breathing new life into the road signs that could barely be seen.
“It was a bit quiet and I was getting a bit twitchy,” said Sam, “so I thought I’d go out and do bits for the community.
“I’ve cleaned bus stops, graffiti in Stanley Park and the road signs.
“I’ve taken videos and posted them on social media and it’s gone a bit viral!
“I’ve had so many people commenting and saying how great the signs look - I’ve got a long list now of ones that need doing.
