Ex-Fylde coast MP's husband revealed as new Big Brother contestant
Big Brother is currently on its 23rd season.
The husband of former Blackpool South MP Scott Benton has joined the latest cast of hit reality tv show Big Brother.
Fitness coach Harry Symonds, from Croyden, married Benton in 2021 at the Palace of Westminster. Symonds entered the Big Brother house on Sunday evening and is the first openly gay member of this season’s cast.
30-year-old Symonds introduced himself on the show as a gay Christian, a former police officer and Crystal Palace FC fan.

Benton served as MP for Blackpool South between 2019 and 2024. The latter stages of Benton’s term were marred by scandal after undercover reporters from The Times caught the MP offering to pressure ministers on behalf of gambling companies.
After resigning in 2024 Benton took a 2 year break from politics until earlier this year when he joined Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain.
