Blackpool Transport reveals new Blackpool FC partnership for Seasiders fans
The deal has been struck between the two organisations.
Blackpool FC fans will soon be able to enjoy easier connections between Bloomfield Road and the town centre thanks to a new bus service.
The new service, operated by Blackpool Transport, will start from September 12 when the Tangerines take on Bromley. Supporters can avoid the 20-minute-walk from the town centre by hopping on one of the new ‘Seaside Specials’.
Jamie Swift, Head of Commercial at Blackpool Transport, explained: “The service will be subject to our usual fares, including our popular Duo and Family tickets, offering an affordable travel option for anyone who wants quick and convenient access to the Bloomfield Road stadium.

“This is particularly important for anyone who struggles to walk far, as the last stop is just a few minutes from the ground, and a welcome alternative to a long trek from the town centre for everyone on dark nights or during poor weather.”
The buses will run every 15 minutes between Market Street and Rigby Road for two hours before kick off and one hour after the final whistle.
Blackpool Transport have confirmed that the service will run for every home league game, in addition to certain cup games, which will be selected based on expected crowd levels.

“We’re delighted to be working with the football club on this initiative, which also aims to reduce congestion around the stadium on matchdays while improving the local environment and demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve,” Jamie Swift added.
