‘Smoother and safer journeys’

The works will include repairs, resurfacing and the application of new road markings. The council said the work will help create smoother and safer journeys while protecting the road network for years to come.

Access for residents and pedestrians will be maintained wherever possible, although the council warned that some delays may occur.

The changes to the works programme have been made to help reduce congestion around the town while the road improvements are carried out.

A Blackpool Council spokesman said: “The improvement works will include repairs, resurfacing and new road markings to create a smoother, safer journey for everyone and help protect the roads for years to come.

“Access for residents and pedestrians will be maintained wherever possible, although some delays may occur.
