Blackpool trial spell comes to an end for ex-Reading and Barnsley man
Blackpool take on Barrow this afternoon - but there will be no trialists involved.
Andy Yiadom’s trial spell with Blackpool has come to an end following several weeks with Ian Evatt’s squad.
The defender linked up with the Seasiders ahead of their pre-season camp in Girona at the backend of last month, before featuring in friendlies against both AFC Fylde and Tranmere Rovers.
Earlier this week, the 34-year-old parted ways with the Fylde Coast outfit, with his exit confirmed by his absence at Holker Street for this afternoon’s game against Barrow.

Yiadom is a free agent after being released by Reading at the conclusion of his contract last month, having been at the Select Car Leasing Stadium since 2018.
In 253 appearances for the Royals, including 29 in League One last term, he scored four goals and provided 12 assists.
The right back’s career started in the youth ranks of Watford, before spending time in non-league with Hayes & Yeading United and Braintree Town, prior to stints with Barnet and Barnsley.
While his stint with Blackpool ultimately didn’t result in a permanent contract, Yiadom comes away from Squires Gate with a positive reference.
Discussing the free agent last week, Seasiders head coach Evatt said: “What I’ve been extremely impressed by is how he trains every day and he’s such a good role model for all of the other players.
“He’s been a really good example to how you should train and play every single day. I like what he does off the pitch when the staff aren’t around, with the guidance he gives.”
