Update on major refurb at beloved Fylde coast village pub The Stanley Arms in Wesham

“Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to enhance the pub for everyone.”

The new boss of a popular Fylde Coast pub has shared an update on its ongoing renovations, just three months after taking over the venue.

Damian Kirkham took over the Stanley Arms, in Wesham, at the end of July. Now, three months in charge, Damian has now decided that the time has come to invest in renovating the pub.

Extensive work has already been done both inside and outside the venue, and Damian has announced that the next stage of updating the Stanley- replacing all beer lines and taps- is taking place this week. Announcing the update on social media, Damian said: “Three months into reopening, we continue to invest in improvements across The Stanley Arms.

“This week, all beer lines and taps are being fully replaced, alongside scheduled cellar maintenance, to ensure the highest standard of quality and consistency. As a result, the pub will be closed this evening, reopening as normal tomorrow.

“Additional works will take place throughout the week, including installation of a new boiler system and upgraded radiators to improve comfort as temperatures drop.

“These works will be completed prior to opening each day, and no changes to our operating hours are expected. Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to enhance the pub for everyone.”
