There has been a major update on the future of a popular Fylde coast pub amid rumours that it could be turned into a lap dancing club or an Indian restaurant.

Rumours about the future of the Roebuck in Bilsborrow have been rife over the past few weeks following rumours that the former restaurant could be converted into a lap dancing bar.

Sold signs have now been spotted on the Roebuck, meaning that a change in ownership has been completed.

Greene King, the former owners of the venue, declined to comment further on the situation after issuing a statement last month, which read:

“We are still in the process of exploring our options at the Roebuck, including a possible sale. We don’t have any further information to share at this stage.”

The identity of the Roebuck’s new owners remains unknown, while suggestions that the site could become an Indian restaurant have not been confirmed.
