I'm so proud that the AIG Women's Open chose our little seaside business in St Annes to brand a hut

One of St Annes Beach Huts has been given a special makeover to celebrate the AIG Women's Open golf tournament coming to town.
The original 'show hut' has been transformed into the 'Champions Hut' as the Fylde Coast gets ready to welcome over 50,000 visitors for the 50th anniversary Championship.
The tournament will take place at Royal Lytham and St Anne's golf course between July 29 and August 2.

Stuart Robertson, founder of St Annes Beach Huts said: "I'm so very proud that this huge championship chose our little seaside business to brand one of our huts.
“This was our very first hut, and I remember building it 14 years ago, and not knowing if the business was going to work.
“I was so frightened.
“Now we've got the AIG Women's Open asking if they can brand one of our huts. I'm just so full of pride about it."

The Champions Hut will remain in use for the public to hire and enjoy throughout the season - although they are likely to welcome a few champion golfers while they are in town.
Stuart added: "Visitors coming for the championship may not know about our seafront, and a lot of the visitors that come to the seafront don't know that there's this amazing tournament going on.
“So it's a collaboration that brings those two things together in a really authentic and charming way."
The beach huts can be rented for the day, for up to six people.
They come with electricity, a kitchenette, seating, heating and everything you need to enjoy the seaside in comfort. You can even bring your dogs.
Zoe Ridgway, Championship Director of the AIG Women’s Open at The R&A, said: “Royal Lytham & St Annes has such a special place in the Championship’s history. Taking over one of St. Anne’s iconic beach huts has been a brilliant way to celebrate this year’s venue and build excitement across the Fylde Coast."
