Blackpool South MP launches 2026 Christmas card competition for primary school children

The MP said he looked forward to receiving the entries.

Primary school-aged children across Blackpool South are being invited to design MP Chris Webb’s official Christmas card, with the winning entry set to be sent across the constituency and Westminster this festive season.

Mr Webb has launched his 2026 Christmas Card Competition, giving young people the opportunity to showcase their creativity and community spirit. The competition is open to primary school-aged children across Blackpool South, with this year’s theme being Christmas and Community.

Children are encouraged to create designs reflecting festive traditions, local landmarks or what Christmas means to them. The competition will award gold, silver and bronze prizes, with all three winning designs featuring on different parts of the MP’s official Christmas card.

The gold prize winner’s design will appear on the front of the card, and they will receive a £100 gift card. The silver winner will receive a £50 gift card, with their artwork appearing on the inside cover, while the bronze winner will receive a £25 gift card and have their design featured on the back.

All winners will receive a certificate, and a selection of Mr Webb’s favourite designs will also be shared on his website and social media channels. The competition follows last year’s event, with Mr Webb pictured alongside Connie, who won the top prize in 2025.
