A se Anar, on Highfield Road in South Shore, was recently named as one of the Good Food Guide’s Top 33 UK-wide restaurants.

Just a few weeks prior, the Indian restaurant was also awarded the TripAdvisor Traveller’ Choice 2026 award, meaning A Se Anar is in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide on the travel website.

Since then, praise from across the Fylde coast has poured in for the Indian eatery. Blackpool South MP Chris Webb was one of the most noteworthy locals to offer his compliments when he wrote a letter to owner Renuka Morris last week.

Reacting to Webb’s letter and the wider support she has received, Renuka Morris said: “His words mean a great deal to me, not just because of the recognition, but because they acknowledge the journey behind it.

“Â sé Anār was never about becoming the biggest restaurant or following the usual templates. For me, it has always been about bringing a little piece of my India to Blackpool — through our food, our family traditions, the stories behind our recipes, and the warmth with which we welcome people into our little space.

“To know that our little independent restaurant in Blackpool is being recognised on a national stage, and that this makes our town proud, is something I will never take for granted.”

In his letter, Webb congratulated the A Se Anar team on their success, describing the restaurant as a ‘credit to Blackpool’ and a place that ‘the whole town can celebrate’.

“This is an incredible achievement, particularly for a small, independent restaurant in Blackpool competing alongside some of the biggest names in British hospitality,” Webb added.
