Someone dumped a radiator in front of our restaurant... it's odd but things like this have happened before
A popular Poulton restaurant was left confused when a radiator mysteriously appeared on its front porch overnight.
A surprising ‘delivery’ greeted staff at Agora restaurant on Queen’s Square in Poulton-le-Fylde earlier this week, as a radiator was left outside the establishment’s front seating area.
Manager Berkant Doguer told the Blackpool Gazette that the radiator appeared to be the result of late-night mischief on Saturday 28 February, writing in a Facebook statement: “Good morning to everyone except the person who kindly donated a radiator to our front porch overnight.

“While we appreciate the thought for creative table centrepieces, we are not currently accepting radiator deliveries at Agora. If we could keep future appliances and deliveries away from our front seating area that would be much appreciated.”
The restaurant confirmed that there was no damage caused by the radiator and that the incident was an isolated one.
Berkant added: “We believe it was likely picked up from a nearby location, possibly during a night out. We do occasionally find litter or other small items left outside from passers-by, so this was a bit of an odd surprise, but nothing too serious.”
Despite the unexpected delivery, staff at Agora are keeping a sense of humour about the situation.
Berkant said: “Naturally it was unexpected given you don’t often see electrical appliances being left as a table centrepiece for a small business to discover in the morning. Rather than reacting negatively, I decided to approach the situation with humour on social media in the local community chat.
“My intention wasn’t to criticise anyone, but simply to address the situation in a fun, light-hearted way while making it clear that we can’t accept items such as these left in such a spot. We’re very proud to be a part of the local community and the post was meant to reflect our personality as a business- friendly, positive and hospitable.”

Berkant said: “Stuff like this has happened before. The owner did think it was odd as we haven’t exactly experienced a radiator dropped on our table before but they did see a positive side to the post. We welcome anyone to come and enjoy our Mediterranean and Turkish brunch and lunch - just, please, leave the radiators at home.”
The owner was approached for comment.
