Since then, they’ve had spells together with Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle United and West Brom.
“It’s been 10 or 11 years we’ve been together - we just bounce off each other nicely,” Agnew said.
“We get on well, but at times we have discussions where we have different views and challenge each other. The success we’ve had has been enjoyable, and we’re determined to make it a success at Blackpool.

Prior to taking the Blackpool job, Bruce had been out of football for two years following difficult spells with both Newcastle and West Brom.
Agnew states the 63-year-old is delighted to be back involved in the game, and is enjoying his time on the Fylde Coast so far.
“He’s in great form, apart from being a little bit sick this week, he bounces into the training ground every morning with a big smile on his face - the wins help that,” he added.

“He’s got a great presence, and a great way of motivating the group, and he’s thoroughly enjoying it. Long may it continue that supporters are singing his name.”
