'Such a talent:' Blackpool coach shares delight after youth product's first Seasiders goal

The 21-year-old skipped past a number of challenges with his quick footwork after cutting in from the right side before slotting past Crocombe to score the second goal of the afternoon, with Odel Offiah and Lee Evans also on the scoresheet at Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool assistant coach Steve Agnew admits he’s been impressed by what he’s seen from Apter since joining the Fylde Coast outfit alongside Steve Bruce earlier this month.

“He’s been terrific since we’ve come through the door,” he said.

“The manager had seen him play last season when he was on loan at Tranmere.

“The goal had a good build-up, we switched the play, it was a good pass from Jordan (Gabriel), and when he faces people in 1 V 1s, he’s got great balance, a lovely left foot, and a great finish.

“It was probably a senior pros finish with the way he rolled it into the corner with ease.

“He’s such a talent. It’s a pleasure working with him every day to see what he brings on the training ground. Let’s hope that’s the first of many goals.”
