Steve Bruce states Blackpool won’t rush into making any transfers before the January window.

The experienced manager only joined the Seasiders earlier this month, meaning he had no influence over the club’s business over the summer.

Prior to the start of the new calendar year, clubs in the EFL are still to add free agents to their ranks to bolster their squads.

Josh Onomah could be one option for Blackpool, with a decision set to be made on the midfielder this week following his two-month trial with the Fylde Coast outfit.

Beyond that, Bruce insists the Seasiders will be patient when it comes to transfers, and believes he’s currently got enough players at his disposal despite being hit with some injuries early on in his tenure.

“Of course you’ll look, but I’m a big believer in doing your homework on people,” he said.

“We’re doing okay at the moment, and if someone can improve us then great, but if their isn’t then let’s be patient.

“The January transfer window is three months ago. I’m very pleased with the squad we’ve got, so I’m not in any big rush and we won’t just panic buy.

“There’s no need to panic, we’ve got a fit and healthy squad.”
