34 - Another injury blow

After Sullay Kaikai’s injury blow during the warm-up, Ethan Robson is now down and has indicated he can’t continue. Jordan Gabriel will replace him and Ollie Turton will move into midfield.

Far from ideal.

That’s a massive chance for Pool to make it 2-0.

A long ball up the centre of the pitch deceives the centre-back and sees Jerry Yates go through on goal. The striker is caught in two minds and considers lobbing the keeper, who comes off his line to thwart him. Yates instead opts to drill a low shot but Jonathan Mitchell makes a good save.

Another one goes down with a knock, this time it’s a Northampton player. He’s able to continue though.

Even then, we’re going to have plenty of stoppage time added on.

45 - Added time confirmed

The fourth official indicates there will be six minutes of time added on.

No surprise...

Space opens up for Luke Garbutt on the edge of the box but he ignores the run of Ellis Simms to his left, instead opting to shoot. The ball bobbles up and he ends up rifling over.

Peter Kioso is shown a yellow card following an aerial collision with James Husband. Pool’s players wanted a red, claiming it was an elbow.

And that brings an end to the opening 45 minutes.

Fairly comfortable in the main for the Seasiders, who lead thanks to Luke Garbutt’s early strike. Northampton need to win to stay up but they’ve yet to offer a real threat, despite starting brightly.

We’re back underway

Northampton get the second-half underway.

The Cobblers, who have to win to stay up, remember, make two changes. I have to say, I was surprised at how reserved they were in the opening half. They’ve got no choice but to go for it now. Let’s hope that works in Blackpool’s favour...

Peter Kioso gets in down the right but his cross loops up to Sam Hoskins, whose acrobatic volley goes well over.

Pool just switched off for a second there.

So close for Dan Ballard, whose header is cleared off the line from Luke Garbutt’s corner.
