Blackpool FC transfer deadline day - live updates

Key Events

  • Seasiders have until 11pm to complete their business
  • Josh Bowler to stay despite Forest and Bournemouth interest
  • Failed bids for Cameron Brannagan and Ollie Norburn
  • Bez Lubala completes loan move to Northampton, Joe Nuttall joins Scunthorpe

8.10pm: Morgan Rogers update

We’re hearing that, as it stands, Morgan Rogers is unlikely to join Blackpool and might actually remain with Bournemouth. Of course that could well change.

Things seem to have just gone absolutely crazy in the last hour or so!

8.05pm: Another Oxford midfielder in demand

8pm: Latest on Joe Nuttall

In the last hour or so Scunthorpe have confirmed a couple of departures, Harry Wood returning to Hull City from his loan and Myles Hippolyte has joined Stockport County on a permanent deal.

That should free up space and money for incomings, which Joe Nuttall could well be one.

Football Insider are reporting that Blackpool are asking for £2.5m for Josh Bowler, not the £1.5m that has been quoted elsewhere.

The Seasiders are reluctant to sell their star man but may have no choice.

7.45pm: Well, well, well...

While a great deal can change between now and 11pm, it looks likely that Josh Bowler will join either Bournemouth or Nottingham Forest.

Should that be the case, the Seasiders will look to bring in Morgan Rogers on loan from Manchester City, who looks set to be recalled from his current loan at Bournemouth.

Ollie Norburn could also arrive from Peterborough, although that now looks to be in some doubt according to their chairman ( see post above), while a last-ditch move for Oxford’s Cameron Brannagan also can’t be ruled out.

7.35pm: Norburn to arrive soon?

Peterborough have now confirmed the loan signing of Reece Brown from Huddersfield Town.

This should pave the way for Ollie Norburn to depart.

7.30pm: Norburn update

Peterborough are about announce the signing of Reece Brown from Huddersfield Town any minute now.

That may well speed up the Ollie Norburn situation.

7.15pm: Bowler update

According to sources, people within Nottingham Forest fear Josh Bowler is heading to Bournemouth and not the City Ground.

I’ve asked the question, but I’m still yet to hear an exact figure on what the fee is likely to be.

7pm: More from Alan Nixon

“I think Norburn is likely to happen no matter what.

“I suspect if they got a deal for Brannagan just about there and the Bowler money was just about acceptable, you might see that happen as well.

“Norburn should go through, I’d say that’s 9 out of 10 it goes through. The other one is still up in the air.

“But the fact they’ve got two clubs after one player means if they are so inclined (to sell), then they have an option”.
