Blackpool FC defender shares feeling behind special celebrations as he notes recent change
Blackpool overcame Wycombe Wanderers with a 1-0 win on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Olly Casey admits Blackpool have learnt to embrace adversity in recent weeks as part of their push to avoid League One relegation.
Heading into their final two games, the Seasiders have pulled six points clear of the final spot in the bottom four, after picking up 16 points from their last seven outings.
In their last two matches, Ian Evatt’s side have been forced to see out victories with 10-men, with Fraser Horsfall sent off against Peterborough United and Hayden Coulson receiving two yellow cards in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers.

Prior to this, a criticism of Blackpool had been their reaction to difficult situations throughout the campaign.
At full time of the fixture at Adams Park, the Seasiders squad and staff came together at full time for a joint fist pump in front of the travelling fans.

“It was really nice - we’ve not really had many of those special moments with the season we’ve had,” Casey said.
“To get the win, the clean sheet and do it all together was really nice. It was the gaffer’s idea, whatever he says goes.
“Even with the adversity we went through with the red card and the added time, being under pressure, we just said to each other: ‘just enjoy working hard.’
“We all felt like we were going to get the result, so just enjoy going through the pain for that feeling at the end.
“We can’t put our finger on what went wrong earlier in the season, but the main thing is now we’ve nearly done the job that we’ve needed to do and have stuck together. Hopefully we can get the job done and move into next season with a positive direction.
“At times this season we’ve had a few injuries, and we’ve still got a few missing, but once we’ve got a fully fit squad there’s no reason why we can't do what we set out to do next year. Now it’s about finishing the job off and going again.
“We can’t change what’s happened now, it is what it is, so all we can do is finish strongly this season.”
