Blackpool player ratings V Burton Albion: Four claim 8/10 as Seasiders climb up the table
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Goals from Odel Offiah, Rob Apter and Lee Evans helped the Seasiders on their way to their fourth league win on the bounce since Steve Bruce took over as head coach earlier this month.
It wasn’t all plain sailing for the Seasiders, with Burton passing on a couple of good opportunities, as well as having strong claims for a penalty waved away by the referee.
Here’s how the Seasiders performed:
Harry Tyrer- 7

After parrying a long shot into the danger zone, he was fortunate Danilo Orsi couldn’t direct his header on target.
Meanwhile, moments later, the 22-year-old avoided conceding a penalty, despite making contact with the Brewers number nine in the box as he tried to take the ball around him.
In the second half, he was able to make an impressive save to deny Ben Whitfield to retain Blackpool’s two-goal lead, before also stopping a header from close-range.
Jordan Gabriel- 7

Odel Offiah- 8
Odel Offiah is forming a good partnership with Olly Casey at the back, with the pair dealing with a number of situations well.
The centre back took his goal well, just adjusting his body to place a stooping header past Crocombe.

Olly Casey- 8
Like Offiah, Olly Casey won his fair share of challenges at the back to keep Burton out.
Hayden Coulson- 7

Hide AdHayden Coulson’s performance against Huddersfield on Tuesday night ensured he kept his place in the team. Once again there were some good things again from the former Middlesbrough man on the left side.
Rob Apter- 8
Rob Apter’s goal at the beginning of the second half was simply superb, with his quick footwork taking him past several challenges before he released his shot.

Lee Evans- 8
Having Lee Evans available was a huge boost following doubts concerning a knee injury. The midfielder controlled things once again, and took his goal well, with a low-driven shot going in off the inside of the post.
Albie Morgan- 7
There was plenty to like from Albie Morgan once again, with the ex-Charlton Athletic man really hitting the ground running following his return from injury.
CJ Hamilton- 7

Jordan Rhodes- 6
Jordan Rhodes came in for the injured Dom Ballard, and just couldn’t seem to open too many opportunities for himself.
Of course the 34-year-old doesn’t bring the same pressing threat as the Southampton loanee, but he couldn’t find an alternative way to get himself involved.
Kyle Joseph- 7
Kyle Joseph once again put in a hard working display for the Seasiders, with a couple of chances coming his way.

No real chances came the way of Fletcher following his introduction.
SUB: Jake Beesley- 6
Jake Beesley was introduced ahead of the final 10 minutes, and didn’t have too much to do.

Same as Beesley.
