Blackpool FC striker named in League One team of the week as Charlton Athletic loanee is snubbed
Blackpool secured a crucial 3-1 victory over Peterborough United at the weekend.
Dale Taylor has been included in League One’s team of the week - but some of his Blackpool colleagues have been snubbed.
There were several standout performers in the Seasiders’ 3-1 victory over Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon, as they opened up a four-point cushion between themselves and the third tier’s relegation zone.
Taylor was on hand with a brace - on what was his first start since Boxing Day after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a broken metatarsal.
The 22-year-old’s sharply taken goals has earned him a place up front in the latest official team of the week.
Tom Bloxham was also on the scoresheet against the Posh, and was impressive throughout, but there’s no room for him alongside the Northern Ireland international.
Meanwhile, Charlton Athletic Karoy Anderson is also excluded despite being named as man of the match in the ground at the weekend following a strong display in the centre of the park.
Here’s the full League One team of the week: Jack Bycroft (Exeter City), Perry Ng (Cardiff City), Jasper Moon (Burton Albion), Carl Piergianni (Stevenage), Joel Bagan (Cardiff City), Adam Phillips (Barnsley), Marcus Harness (Huddersfield Town), Owen Bailey (Doncaster Rovers), Chris Willock (Cardiff City), Dale Taylor (Blackpool), Tom Bradshaw (Barnsley).
