Hide AdDiscussing the status of the squad after the Burton game, Blackpool assistant Steve Agnew declared the team had come out of the fixture injury-free ahead of Tuesday night’s game against Lincoln City.
“Just been in with the medical team and everyone seems okay,” he said.
“Lee Evans has just twisted his knee and felt it jar a little bit, but we think he’s okay. He rocked it the other night, so he had to miss training on Thursday because it was sore, but he’s a top professional who looks after himself and declared himself fit for the game.
“It was the third game of the week, so we brought some players off to have a bit of freshness on Tuesday night. They’ve run a million miles this week, but they’re fit boys and they recover quickly, so we’ll get back to work and prepare for Lincoln on Tuesday night.

Despite dealing with a busy schedule throughout Bruce’s first month in charge, Agnew states the Seasiders coaches are still pleased with what they’ve been able to do with the squad to help them on their way to four league wins on the bounce.
“There’s a lot of fit players within the group, but we still feel as if we can get to a certain level that will improve us,” he added.
“It’s been difficult because apart from the first week we came in, we’ve had midweek games, so we’ve had to get the physical data through matches. When we’re not playing midweek, we’ll work harder on the training ground to improve that as well.

Although we can’t do things on the grass as often as we like, the boys still see things in the analysis room, and that’s been beneficial.”
