We all knew deep down Josh Bowler would be leaving today, but who’d have thought he’d end up at Olympiacos?
He’s still a Nottingham Forest player, having signed for the Premier League newcomers for an undisclosed fee. But he has immediately been sent out to Greece to join the Europa League participants, who are owned by the same person who also runs Forest.
Whatever the deal, it brings an end to Bowler’s special spell at Bloomfield Road. Players like him don’t come around very often, if ever, so he will be sorely missed.
