Blackpool FC transfer deadline day - live updates
Key Events
- Transfer window is now CLOSED
- Josh Bowler signs for Nottingham Forest, but joins Olympiacos on loan
- Pool complete last-ditch permanent signing of midfielder Callum Wright
- Seasiders complete signing of Brighton youngster for development squad
- Matty Virtue joins Lincoln City on loan
- Ewan Bange leaves on loan
Loan departure confirmed
Ewan Bange has joined Scottish side Queen of the South on loan until January.
That’s the former side of development squad boss Stephen Dobbie, of course.
Latest on Matty Virtue
I would imagine this is referring to Matty Virtue. There’s certainly interest and Blackpool want him to go out and get regular game time.
Michael Appleton suggested to me last night he’d rather get one in the door first though before allowing Virtue to leave.
BREAKING: Josh Bowler update
Nottingham Forest have agreed a fee with Blackpool for Josh Bowler, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
It’s now down to the player.
Is this the end?
It’s the news many of us feared, but also expected.
It’s not quite done yet, but it appears Forest are edging ever closer to getting their man. The only hope we have is that Bowler rejects the chance to leave with first-team football not guaranteed at the City Ground.
I’m still trying to find out what I can from my end, so I’ll update you as and when I get any more information.
But as it stands, here’s the current situation.
3.30pm update
As reported elsewhere, The Gazette understands there has been some talk within the Forest group about a potential loan move to Olympiacos. It will all come down to what Josh Bowler wants and what Forest see his role as.
Such a talented player being used as a pawn within a satelite of clubs. Stinks if you ask me.
