Blackpool 2-2 Bromley: Seasiders share points with recent strugglers at Bloomfield Road
Blackpool drew 2-2 with Bromley at Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool squandered a winning position on two occasions as they drew 2-2 with Bromley at Bloomfield Road.
Albie Morgan put the Seasiders ahead in the opening exchanges; only for Victor Adeboyejo to swiftly equalise.
Ian Evatt’s side retook the lead through Tom Bloxham at the end of the first half, before being pegged back once again, with JJ McKiernan levelling after the break.
Morgan broke the deadlock in the 10th minute, with his free kick from the edge of the box finding its way around a weak Bromley to beat the unsighted Owen Mason.
At the other end of the pitch, the Ravens would’ve been left disappointed not to immediately equalise, as they failed to find the back of the net from a goal line scramble. The ball eventually came out to Mitch Pinnock - who saw his dinked effort pushed over the crossbar by Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
The visitors made amends on their next venture forward. A corner to the back post was met by Omar Sowunmi, with the Bromley captain heading across the face of goal for Adeboyejo to nod home.
Ahead of the half hour mark, there was a chance for Karoy Anderson to put the Seasiders back in front, but the midfielder leant back and put his shot over the crossbar.
Andy Woodman’s side also had opportunities to go ahead, with a free kick from Corey Whitely needing intervention from Peacock-Farrell after finding its way through the crowd.
Just before the break, Bloxham was able to deliver the third goal of the contest.
After being denied by Mason shortly before, the forward found himself unmarked at the back post to turn home a ball across the face of the target from Finley Munroe.
Following the restart, there was an early chance for Adeboyejo to find the back of the net for a second time, but the forward could only place his shot straight into the hands of the Blackpool keeper.
Once again, the visitors were allowed to build momentum on the back of this, and were soon level again.
After giving away a free kick on the edge of the box, there was further misfortune for Jordan Brown, with McKiernan’s strike going in off the midfielder.
Both sides had chances to take all three points in the closing stages, with George Saville placing a shot at Peacock-Farrell at one end and substitute Leighton Clarkson putting an effort over the crossbar at the other.
There was a late opportunity for Kamarl Grant to snatch all three points, but the Seasiders shot stopper was on hand with a good reaction save.
