January date for Blackpool’s League One trip to Notts County as striker leaves on loan

Blackpool announce new date for previously-postponed League One match.

Blackpool have confirmed a new date for their previously postponed League One trip to Notts County.

The match at Meadow Lane will take place on Tuesday, January 12 (7.45pm), with ticket details to be announced in due course.

It was originally due to be played on Saturday, September 26, only to be one of two Seasiders matches postponed because of the international break.

The other game was the scheduled meeting with Leicester City at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, October 3.

That will now be played on Tuesday, November 24; again with a kick-off time of 7.45pm.

Blackpool have also announced that striker Billy Whaite has made another loan move away from the club.

The former Morecambe youngster has joined NPL Premier club Ashton United on loan until January 2.

Whaite, who signed a three-year professional contract at Bloomfield Road in August 2025, spent the second half of last season on loan at Bradford (Park Avenue).

The teenager then had a spell with Warrington Rylands earlier this season and will now join fellow first-year professional Spencer Knight with the Robins.

Ironically, Whaite’s debut for Ashton could come against Rylands as they visit Hurst Cross on Saturday.
