Wild Shore Blackpool extends opening hours for new wakeboarding sessions ahead of school summer holidays

“We are extremely excited about our jam packed summer events.”

Wild Shore Blackpool is extending its opening hours this summer as it launches new twilight wakeboarding sessions, building on its growing popularity since opening in 2024.

The Blackpool adventure venue has become a popular destination for both residents and visitors, attracting large crowds during the summer months and school holidays. With a packed programme of activities and seasonal events, the site aims to establish itself as Lancashire's leading outdoor adventure destination for families, groups and wakeboarding enthusiasts.

Visitors can book a range of activities, including the Aqua Park, Wakeboarding, Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), Ringo and Wild Swimming. The Aqua Park and Ringo offer fast-paced fun, with families and friends able to compete across inflatable obstacles or skim across the water before ending in a splash.

‘Summer holidays are finally here’

James Barbour, Director of Wild Shore, said: “Summer holidays are finally here and we are very excited for our busiest period of the season. With the warmer weather in recent weeks, Wild Shore Blackpool has been a constant hub for groups to enjoy activities in the sun, whilst cooling off in the water.

“We are extremely excited about our jam packed summer events as Wakeboarding continues to become a favourite for our regulars.”

For those seeking a more relaxed experience, Wild Swimming provides a safe environment to cool off and exercise as the activity continues to grow in popularity.

Wakeboarding remains one of the site's biggest attractions, with new sunset sessions taking place every Thursday. The extended opening hours until 8pm allow riders to develop their skills and enjoy jam sessions together.

The summer programme will conclude with the RiDE Wakeboarding Competition on September 5, the penultimate event in a series held across Wild Shore Blackpool and its sister sites at Foxlake Adventures, Wild Shore Dundee and Wild Shore Delamere, supporting the continued growth of the sport and its community.
