Blackpool's oldest and most iconic pier is recruiting new staff ahead of what it hopes will be a bumper summer season.

Successful applicants will be responsible for serving customers, handling cash and card payments, operating tills and card machines, and helping to keep the bar and work areas clean and tidy while delivering high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The pier is seeking reliable, friendly and well-presented team players with strong communication skills and good time management. Applicants must be available to work weekends unless otherwise agreed before employment.

The recruitment drive comes as North Pier enters a new chapter following its acquisition by Okken Ltd as part of a £10 million investment programme. The new owners have pledged to refurbish, renovate and restore the historic landmark while preserving its heritage and securing its future as one of Blackpool's leading attractions.

Plans include a comprehensive refurbishment of the structure, upgrades to the theatre, the creation of new media and event spaces, and a new bar at the entrance to the pier under planning permission that has already been granted.

Further phases of investment and development are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Those interested are being asked to send their CV, or details about themselves, to the bar manager via email at [email protected]
