Traffic delays after M6 closed near Leyland and Wigan following crash
The M6 near Wigan was temporarily closed following a crash.

The incident happened just after 5pm, going southbound betweent junction 28 (Leyland) and junction 27 (Wigan and Parbold).
Highways England put a temporary stop to traffic following the collision in which officers from Lancashire Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) paramedics attended the incident.
The section was reopened to drivers at around 5.45pm
Lancashire Police and NWAS have been approached for comment
