'Tears in our eyes': Circus Mondao's emotional goodbye to Fylde coast

Circus Mondao have released a heartfelt message thanking the people of Thornton after another year of fun, magic and thrills whilst performing on the Fylde coast.
The beloved circus has been coming to Thornton for over 15 years and this year celebrated its 250th anniversary.
In an emotional message shared across social media, the circus thanked the Fylde coast for its hospitality as the circus bid farewell and moved on to perform in Chorley.
The message said: “With tears in our eyes we once again say goodbye to Thornton Cleveleys after our fantastic summer season. We will be back again next year with another great show for all the family.
“A big thank you to the Holt Family for hosting us on their land every year. And thank you to everyone who has supported us during our stay, some more than once, some others every other day, you are all amazing. The tent is nearly packed and will be going up tonight at Chorley.”
The circus was in Thornton for just over a month, with the travelling troupe arriving on August 5th and leaving on September 6th.
They will now spend 12 days in Chorley, performing from September 9 to September 20.
