Visitors to Central Pier were evacuated as emergency services tried to help the woman. The Terrace bar remained open and music could be heard from the Promenade. | submit

There were long delays after a serious crash closed the M6 in both directions between Leyland and Standish.
The collision occurred between junctions 27 (Shevington) and 28 (Leyland) at around 2pm on Friday. The motorway was subsequently closed in both directions while emergency services worked at the scene. | submit

These were scenes as protesters exercised their rights to protest in Blackpool Town Centre after the murder of three innocent children in Southport. Lancashire saw three separate protests in Preston, Blackurn and Blackpool. | submit
