Major update on St Annes Carnival route as town centre roadworks continue
“St Annes Carnival is just around the corner - and we want to make sure nothing gets in the way of the fun”
St Annes Carnival’s annual procession won’t be affected by the ongoing roadworks in the town centre.
That’s the assurance from Fylde Council in response to queries it says it has received regarding the works on Garden Street and the Pier Link at the seaward end of St Annes Road West.

Neither stretch of road, both currently closed to traffic, are traditionally on the procession route but the council has issued its assurance in response to concerns that they might affect the route through the adjacent St Annes Square.
The Carnival is on Saturday, July 11, with the procession starting at 10.30am at the junction of Clifton Drive North and St Annes Square, with the crowning of the new Carnival Queen and entertainment galore following in Ashton Gardens in the afternoon.
