Major update on £20m Pride in Fleetwood funding amid exciting People's Pier and Marine Hall plans
"In ten years' time, I want Fleetwood to be a town where…"
How would you spend £20million to make Fleetwood a better place to live, work and visit?
That is the question at the heart of a public consultation next month, as the Pride in Fleetwood Board asks residents to help decide where the money should go over the next decade - specifically the next four years.
People are being encouraged to share their ideas, highlight local priorities and have their say on plans that could shape the town for years to come.

Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next 10 years as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit the town.
The board has already asked for feedback from the community but the next time they meet, they are asking for residents to speak up and say what they think the money should be spent on.
A spokesperson said: “We’re planning the investment awarded by Central Government Pride in Place funding in Fleetwood, and every project so far has come from what local people told us.
“Now we want to hear from you again, about the next 4 years and our 10-year plan for the town.”
The community consultation evening takes place at the North Euston Hotel on Wednesday, November 4, with two identical sessions running from 5pm to 6.30pm and 6.30pm to 8pm.
The event - that needs a ticket - will showcase potential projects across four key areas: community assets, tourism and commerce, industry and connectivity, and young people and families.
One idea on the list is supporting People’s Pier. This movement is gathering pace to revive the derelict Fleetwood Pier space, to turn it into an affordable entertainment complex with restaurants and food outlets and accommodation. Although not funded by Pride in Fleetwood, the planned renovations for the Marine Hall also add to an exciting pot of improvements desperately need in Fleetwood

Other ideas could include improvements to parks, playgrounds and community hubs, revitalising Lord Street and the market, celebrating Fleetwood's heritage, boosting events and tourism, and creating better opportunities and safe spaces for young people.
At the consultation, visitors will be able to view projects, vote, leave comments and suggest changes, with a People's Priority Wall offering an opportunity to highlight anything they feel has been overlooked.
They will also be asked to complete the sentence: "In ten years' time, I want Fleetwood to be a town where…"
The board says projects developed so far have come from feedback from the community, but it wants to hear residents' views again as it plans the next four years and its longer-term vision.
With £20million at stake, it’s an opportunity for Fleetwood residents to help decide what matters most to their town.
