Earlier in the week, concerns had grown regarding Shay’s whereabouts, with authorities claiming that both they and Shay’s family were ‘worried’ about the teenager, who originally went missing on Monday, July 6.

With Shay having last been seen in the Butler Street area at 5.30pm, police had been making continued efforts to locate the boy all week, reiterating in statements that he was not in any trouble but that concern was growing regarding his wellbeing.

Shay was thankfully found on the afternoon of July 9.
