'Quite a journey' - Owner bids emotional farewell after selling Fylde coast café

“It’s been quite a journey, with plenty of highs, challenges, learning curves and lovely memories along the way.”

The former owner of a Fylde coast coffee shop has bid an emotional farewell after passing over the keys to new owners earlier this week.

Helen, former owner of The Courtyard Café in Clifton, posted her heartfelt goodbye message on Facebook after leaving the business earlier this week.

New owners Danni and Steve have officially taken over the café, which remains open. In her farewell message, Helen thanked her customers for their ‘kindness and loyalty’: “After just over two years, I’ve now officially left The Courtyard Café.

“It’s been quite a journey, with plenty of highs, challenges, learning curves and lovely memories along the way. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our customers, both old and new, for your continued support, kindness and loyalty throughout my time here. It really has meant so much.

“I’m delighted to welcome Danni and Steve as the new owners of The Courtyard Café and wish them every success as they begin their new chapter. I’m sure you’ll all make them feel as welcome as you have made me.”

The Courtyard Café is one of Fylde’s most popular spots, serving food, drinks and snacks from Wednesday to Saturday each week. There has been no update of a menu change from the new owners.

Helen added: “For the time being, I’ll continue posting on behalf of Danni and Steve until the Facebook page and its administration have been fully handed over. Thank you once again for being part of my journey. It’s time for me to close this chapter and look forward to what comes next.”
