Lancashire Police issue major update on injuries after 5-car M55 collision

Five cars were involved in a collision on the M55 at rush hour last night.

The emergency services were called shortly before 5.30pm to the accident on the westbound carriageway.

A police spokesperson said: “The call was at 5.26pm, westbound on the M55. Five cars were involved and there was a minor injury to one person.”

Drivers reported tailbacks and congestion for around an hour adding to teatime misery as the emergency services attended the scene.
