The role is part of a recruitment driveafter Blackpool Airport was recently praised by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) following a comprehensive two-day audit. CAA inspectors said the airport's standards were those they would expect from a much larger operation.
The airport said the assessment commended it across a range of areas, including its documentation, operational processes, equipment and overall standards. One piece of feedback from the audit was singled out by the airport as a particular source of pride: “These are the standards we would expect from a much larger operation.”
Blackpool Airport said the result was a testament to the dedication, professionalism and teamwork of staff across the site. It thanked colleagues working across Operations, Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (RFFS), Refuelling, ATE and Air Traffic Control (ATC), as well as wider support teams, saying everyone had played a part in the result.
